Organizations with a strategic outlook
With 25 years of experience in recognizing projects of integral education, the Itaú-UNICEF Prize gave rise to the Itaú Social UNICEF Program, which provides training and encouragement to civil society organizations.

The year 2020 saw the transformation of Itaú-UNICEF Prize into the Itaú Social UNICEF Program, which seeks to support civil society organizations (CSOs) to upgrade their practices and to enlarge their quality results, through training, financial promotion and technical accompaniment. An initiative of Itaú Social and UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund), with technical coordination by Cenpec Educação (Center for Studies and Research in Education, Culture and Community Action).
Launched in July 2020, the program had more than 1,800 signups and a high degree of adhesion, with 739 organizations participating in training programs in the second semester. The participation of representatives from the CSOs in the online activities reached as high as 3,777 people. In these activities, diagnoses are carried out, along with the mapping of needs and potentials of the territory, and an intervention plan is drawn up. Its first edition foresees an investment of R$ 4 million, with support of up to R$ 100 thousand for each of the 40 organizations selected among those that fulfill all the stages, along with technical support for implementing the plan. An important selection criterion is the degree of socioeconomic and educational vulnerability in the municipalities in which the CSOs operate.
